July PS Plus Catalog games announced, featuring Stray, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Marvel’s Avengers and two PSP games

Sony today announced PS Plus Game Catalog games for July 2022. We are referring to the games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog, of course, which you can access a la carte if you have the two highest levels of the subscription service (that is, what was previously PS Now).

What we used to call “PS Plus games of the month”, the handful of free games that you can download for free for a month, are now available, and they include Crash Bandicoot 4 or Man of Medan.

As of July 19, join 15 games to the catalog of modern games that you can access with PS Plus Extra or Premium, and 2 PSP games to the catalog of classic gameswhich you can only access with the most expensive tier, PS Plus Premium.

There are some surprises, but many of us already knew them from a leak, and they include titles as powerful as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Marvel’s Avengers, various Assassin’s Creed or the novelty of Stray, from day 1 on PS Plus, to GamePass.

However, there are also some surprises, including two games of Saints Row, or family games of Ice Age or Paw Patrol.

On the other hand, the PSP game catalog is expanded with two more games, both in the Classics section that you can only access with PS Plus Premium.

  • No Heroes Allowed! (PSP)
  • LocoRoco Midnight Carnival (PSP)

Additionally, Ubisoft has confirmed that many new Assassin’s Creed games will be added to the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog throughout the year. At the moment there are four games that are added on July 19: Black Flag, Ezio Collection, Unity and Rogue.

Ubisoft+ Classics has 27 Ubisoft games, accessible from PS Plus Extra or Premium, and includes Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division, For Honor, and older ones like Child of Light, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Watch Dogs, and Werewolves Within. By the end of the year, they expect there to be more than 50 games.
