As you know, we have offered you on the web some of the most curious…
Kitsune Zero, the prequel to Kitsune Tails, the classic-themed platformer steeped in Japanese mythology and featuring diverse relationships, comes to life today on Steam and is available as DLC for Super Bernie World, the election activism platformer, downloaded by more than 350,000 voters at the ballot box.
Embark on a journey through a new story created by developer Kitsune Games (MidBoss, Ultra Hat Dimension, Super Bernie World) in collaboration with publisher MidBoss™ (2064: Read Only Memories). Experience the original four worlds of Super Bernie World, now set in the Kitsune Tails universe.
Run and jump as the fox spirit Yumi through eight new worlds exclusive to the DLC. Dodge the swift enemy attacks of the Edo Soldiers in an all new Hard Mode that will challenge both speed runners and platformers fans. Collect power-ups that increase Yumi’s abilities to make her grow taller, throw fireballs, and be indestructible for a period of time.
Encounter ghostly creatures inspired by Japanese folklore hidden in each world and its secret bonus world. In this homage to the early eight-bit platformers, you’ll hop, run, and stomp your opponents in a reimagined quality of life with jump buffering and the ability to continue at every stage. Bounce to catchy tunes perfectly matched to each level’s graphics.
Discover 24 new levels in this expansion with new story sequences narrated by Sean Chiplock, author of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact, Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers and many other popular anime and video game title is responsible. Kitsune Zero’s voice acting team also includes Michele Knotz, the voice of Misty, May and Jessie from the English dub of the Pokemon anime.
The paid DLC for Kitsune Zero will be available free of charge for users with verified Super Bernie World speedruns prior to the release of Kitsune Zero. To obtain a key for the DLC as a free expansion, please request a Kitsune Zero key from moderator Chounard.
“We are very excited to bring together two universes that we love very much,” says Eniko Fox, co-founder of Kitsune Games. “With Kitsune Tails on the horizon and Super Bernie World to remember fondly, merging the old with the new was exciting!”
