Lance Reddick was going to play Hellboy in one of his final roles

the late actor Lance Reddick, who recently passed away at the age of 60, was to play the anti-hero Hellboy in one of his last performances. Reddick, who is not unknown in video games, for many, will always be the voice of Commander Zavala in the Destiny series. For others, he will be the conniving Sylens in the Horizon franchise, or Charon, the manager of the Continental Hotel in the John Wick saga.

Many thought that Reddick’s last known role as an actor was in John Wick: Chapter 4, however, that is not the case. Hellboy Web of Wyrd was announced during The Game Awards 2022 and it seems that, in fact, this will be one of the last roles of the famous actor.

While there is little to say about the game as of this writing, we do know that it will be developed by Upstream Arcade and it will be a roguelite action-adventure with an original story from Dark Horse Comics and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. The game’s art style also seems to remain true to Mignola’s original vision.

Lance Reddick has been confirmed to star in the game, none other than Cambion aka Hellboy. According to the actor’s IMDb page, no other roles are detailed beyond John Wick: Chapter 4. It remains to be seen if Reddick will star in Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores next month. Additionally, as reported by Wccftech, Mike Mignola had this to say about the passing of Lance Reddick: “I am stunned. I was with him a couple of weeks ago when he was doing the voice of hellboy for a new computer game, he was so cool and such a nice guy. And so young! Too sad.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd doesn’t have a release date at the time of writing, but we do know it will be released “for all major gaming consoles and PC.”
