Layers of Fears changes its name and will be released in June

The developer studio Bloomer Team has finally provided an update on his upcoming horror game, Layers of Fears, his next title in the eponymous franchise. Instead of releasing in early 2023, it will now be out in the summer, specifically, June for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The name has also been changed, curiously, to Layers of Fearwhich is also the name of the first game.
The story involves entering a “lonely and gruesome lighthouse” to discover an “untold tale” that presumably ties the series together. Interestingly, Layers of Fear looks like an improved Layers of Fear compilation. (2016), the DLC inheritance and Layers of Fear 2.
There are new mechanics and horrors to experience and a new chapter, “The Final Note”. This chapter is from the perspective of the painter’s wife from the first game and further expands the story.
Oddly enough, it fits the developer’s description of the title as building “on the foundations of previous entries in the franchise” and serving as a “reimagining of the overarching narrative structure that connects them all.” Of course, the visuals are overhauled thanks to Unreal Engine 5 with ray tracing, HDR, 4K support, and more.
Layers of Fear, will be released in June of this year for the main consoles and PC. You can check out the announcement trailer below.
