After the release date was leaked and later confirmed through the PlayStation Store, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name of SEGA and RGG Studio received a new gameplay trailer in the Summer Game Fest Showcase 2023. It sees Kazuma Kiryu, operating under the codename “Joryu”, as he battles a mysterious figure.
The trailer shows the new combat styles that can be used in the game. One of them is the new agent style, in which Kiryu uses wires to attack enemies. Also, he can use them to grab objects in the environment and use them as melee weapons.
The other fighting style is Yakuza where Kiryu can perform blunt blows and is appreciated to be for crowd control. As for the locations, they will be Sotenbori and Yokohama, you can also see a strange castle, with its exaggerated aesthetics.
Although not featured, there is offline multiplayer for two players. Pre-orders of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name they get the Legendary Fighter Pack, which includes legendary fighters such as Majima Goro and Taiga Saejima, although it is unknown if they are playable. The action-adventure title is due out on November 9 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
