We have received an interesting information related to one of the most outstanding Nintendo franchises.…
Among fans rejoices Mario Kart Tour continues to be very popular. With new tracks, drivers and modes, such as the battle mode, which will be released in September, new content will be provided regularly. But if you wanted certain characters or vehicles, you had to settle for a system based on luck – at least until now.
Starting October 4th, the tubes that can be ignited by using rubies will be removed from the game. These are replaced by a Highlight Shop, in which new and old characters, vehicles and gliders can be purchased with rubies. In keeping with this, the bonus that temporarily upgraded some of them for the 2nd and 3rd leg of a cup will be removed. The other tubes that can be ignited for free or through the medal shop should not be affected. It has not yet been revealed how many rubies each item will cost.
One of the biggest criticisms of Mario Kart Tour has always been the gacha element: if you want to own a special vehicle or character, you have to use rubies to ignite a tube from which random items come out. With luck you only use 45 rubies, if you are unlucky you have to use 450 of them to get one of the guaranteed highlights. Rubies can be earned, but if you don’t want to spend any money at all, you have to save a few months to get the right amount. The gacha system is used in countless titles, including other Nintendo apps, and is often criticized for its gambling nature. It is not known exactly why the drastic step was taken.
