Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the long-awaited video game, has reached the gold stage. This means that the game has completed its development and is ready to be released in a month.

The studio shared the news through a post on Twitter, accompanied by a video in which the main voice actors express their enthusiasm.

Insomniac’s statement at the end of the video says: “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has officially reached the ‘gold’ stage! We are excited to share this achievement with our studio, collaborators at PlayStation and Marvel Games, and with our incredible community around the world. We can’t wait for you to experience what we’ve been preparing on October 20th!”

Additionally, the announcement comes shortly after Insomniac and Marvel Games revealed a new gameplay trailer during the Sony State of Play livestream. In this trailer, more than 65 new Spider-Man suits were shown, inspired by the comics, movies and original designs. An expanded map of New York City was also revealed, with new activities and plots within the open world. These visual clues hinted at the appearance of new villains who will join Venom and Kraven the Hunter in this exciting adventure.
