Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have a prequel in the form of a free comic
This Saturday, May 6, is celebrated the Free Comic Day, a day in which anyone can go to a comic book store and get a free comic. The popularity of this initiative has led many publishers to create issues specifically designed to give away to fans, and one of the issues that Marvel will offer for free this Saturday has to do with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2the game that Insomniac Games is developing exclusively for PS5 with the intention of launching it in the fall of 2023.
Insomniac Games has collaborated with Marvel for the creation of a comic that serve as a prequel to the video game. This issue will tell what the protagonists have been up to since the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales until the start of the new game. There will be a villain with supernatural powers, but above all we will discover how life is being for Peter Parker after the arrival of a new Spider-Man, how Miles Morales is doing in high school and how MJ’s journalistic career is going.
The Hood, the villain that will antagonize this prequel comic
“In this story, the lives of Peter, Miles and MJ collide as they try to balance their responsibilities to the city and to themselves,” he explains. Jon Paquette, Narrative Director at Insomniac Gamesin an article posted on the Official PlayStation Blog: “Do they keep coming back to one of the main themes of the comic: is magic real? Because in this action-packed issue, a beloved supervillain makes his first appearance in our universe and seems to have supernatural abilities that defy simple cobwebs and fists: none other than The Hood!”.
The comic is written by Christos Gageone of the writers of Spider-Man for PS4, and have the drawing of ig guara.
