Meta Quest announces date for its Meta Gaming Showcase event

Meta, the company behind the Meta Quest VR headsets, has announced that it will host an event to showcase its upcoming games.

The event is scheduled for June 1 at 10 am PT/1 p.m. both hardware and software. Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2023 will be broadcast live on various platforms, including the official MetaQuestVR YouTube channels, Twitch, and the MetaQuestVR Facebook account.

For now we only know the time and date, Meta hasn’t revealed any further details, such as which studios we can expect to see at the event and whether it will introduce new VR hardware.

While the Meta Quest 2 VR headset has been quite successful for Meta, back in January it officially announced the end of support for its original Meta Quest headset. While support for the original standalone VR headset has ended in terms of getting new features, Meta has stated that the headset will continue to receive security updates until 2024.
