Meta Quest Gaming Showcase announced for June

The social networking and VR giant Meta (Facebook), in the midst of rumors about the cancellation of its Metaverse, has announced a Meta Quest Gaming Showcase for June 1st. The pre-recorded show will be broadcast live on Twitch, YouTube and Meta Horizon Worlds.

There’s no word on which games will be featured as of this writing, though some are hoping to see Ghostbusters VR and updates to hit games like the perennial Beat Saber. Something that isn’t expected to be shown is a new stand-alone VR headset to replace the relatively outdated Meta Quest 2, as it’s likely to be saved for a more hardware-focused event.
