We recently wondered if the PlayStation-exclusive Final Fantasy VII: Remake would be coming to Xbox, as Microsoft’s Brazilian social media account featured the game in a Father’s Day post celebrating fathers at the world of video games, including that of Barrett, from FFVII.
Now, however, Microsoft has come out to officially deny the publication. In a message to Eurogamer they write the following:
“The image was published in error and was removed because it included a title not available on Xbox”
But we shouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of someday (distant, mind you) Final Fantasy VII: Remake coming to Xbox at some point in the future. Although the series doesn’t have much of a foothold on Microsoft’s console, the online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV will be coming to Xbox next year, ten years after its normal release.
