Minecraft will get the big update 1.20 in 2023. Some of this can already be tested, but not all of the new features are already known. In a surprising announcement, the developers now showed that armor can soon be decorated with other materials.

The block game Minecraft is currently experiencing a little hype in Germany. Some major streamers have been exploring the game for the first time, bringing in many new players and viewers.

Among them are EliasN, who doesn’t check anything at first, or MontanaBlack, who discovered Minecraft’s Pay2Win page.

But there is also a lot coming up in the game in 2023. The big update 1.20 is coming later this year. The first features are already known, and certain things can even be tested on a test server.

Armor cannot be adorned with the material from which it was made. In addition, there will be different types of templates that lead to different results. The adjustments are purely visual and do not change the armor values.

What are the reactions? The announcement was immediately well received on Twitter. Many are surprised by the innovation:

  • @Yahiamice: “Wait, that’s really awesome HUH?”
  • @streakstalol: “That’s what I’m talking about, the hype update!”
  • @illust_nicou: “Is that real?”

Minecraft has once again managed to bring a feature that nobody really thought of and now suddenly everyone wants it. By the way, they did a similar thing recently with a bug that suddenly disappeared after 10 years.
