Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 have performance issues on PC and Activision does nothing

The latest Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 Season 4 Reloaded patch is a disaster for PC players and although the goal was to bring new content to the game what it has given us is frustration and very poor performance.
Since the mid-season update, players around the world are experiencing performance issues that make the game unplayable.
PC users who previously enjoyed gaming at 160+ FPS are now expressing concern about only receiving half their previous frame rate.

Fortunately for gamers, the developers are aware of the performance issues and are working to resolve them. They acknowledged the issue on their CODUpdates Twitter account and are reportedly now testing a fix that fixes the performance issues on PC.
However, while the development team is fixing the FPS drop in Warzone, players continue to express their frustration due to the constant FPS drop with each update.
We are currently testing a fix that addresses the performance issues on PC. Thank you for your continued patience.

Hopefully, for gamers, this issue can be resolved quickly. However, if the FPS drops issue persists and continues to affect the game with each update, which could cause many of us to stop playing Call of Duty.
