For almost two years, there has been a constant stream of rumors and speculation about the next NetherRealm Studios title. Mortal Kombat 11 came out in 2019, and until now the developers have alternated every year between Mortal Kombat and the Injustice series. This means that in 2023 we should have Injustice 3, but there have also been other rumors about something Marvel related.
Until now, NetherRealm Studios has been keeping a secret about the project it is working on and has been teasing fans for quite some time. A few hours ago we finally received the answer that many of us expected, even if it was in the least ceremonious way.

And it is that during the last quarterly economic report of Warner Bros. Discovery, it has been revealed without any kind of fanfare or notoriety that Mortal Kombat 12 will arrive this year (although given the situation, they were probably referring to the fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2024).
