MultiVersus player count has dropped 99% since its release on Steam

MultiVersus, the fighting game that took the world by storm last year, hasn’t enjoyed consistent success. The anticipation for the game has been fading and the content of the second season has failed to revive it, so many have abandoned the platform fighting game.

This has recently become apparent on Steam, where MultiVersus’ maximum daily player count has dropped below four digits, with just 986 players via Valve’s digital platform.

It’s not all doom and gloom, as there may still be small communities of MultiVersus players on other platforms, but this SteamDB data certainly shows that the game is struggling to survive and maintain player interest.

We can’t say for sure if MultiVersus will be able to bounce back, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to get back to a consistent player base.
