Doubts and skepticism have assaulted The Last of Us Part I. The gameplay leaks raised more than one eyebrow as no major changes were shown, so naughty dog responded forcefully by posting a lengthy preview.
Now, a new member of the Sony study has stepped in. In this case we are talking about Jonathan Benaino, a developer from the Californian team, who has assured that the step that remains to be taken is that we really have the game in our hands.
People complain about gameplay by watching a video but nobody actually had their hand on the controller. Having played both, there is no comparison between PS3 & PS5.
And the prone, would have simply broken the gameplay and the combat space as it wasn’t built this way originally.— Jonathan BENAINOUS (@JonathanBenaino) July 23, 2022
People complain about the gameplay when watching a video, but no one has actually held the controller in their hands. Having played both, there is no comparison between PS3 and PS5. And about lying down, it would have just broken the game and the combat space, since it wasn’t built this way originally.
Benaino is very clear that the jump between the 2013 version on PS3 and the one that will arrive on September 2 exclusively for PS5 is really substantial. Naughty Dog explained that the animations, the AI of the characters have been improved and that the DualSense of the new generation Sony console will offer us new sensations.
Arrival of the PC version
On the other hand, Benaino himself has given a bit more information about when we can enjoy The Last of Us Part I on PC. There is no specific date for its launch, but it has indicated that it will not take long to see the light.
Glad to hear you’re hyped man! PC version should come out a bit later, but very soon after the PS5 release!
