The Return of Scott Pilgrim on Netflix
Do you know Edgar Wright? By name, perhaps not, but his filmography surely holds no secrets for some of you. We owe him in particular the Cornetto trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The Last Pub Before the End of the World), but not only. In 2010, he brought the adaptation of the legendary comic book Scott Pilgrim to the big screen. And contrary to what one might think, he did not use animation, but real shots. Scott Pilgrim is therefore back in the new Netflix releases of the week. This time it’s not about the film, but an animated series. It was revealed more than a year ago, and today it arrived in the catalog of the American giant. As a reminder, the show is written by Bryan Lee O’Malley, the author of the comics, and produced by the animation studio Science Saru (*text muted*man Crybaby, Inu-Oh). For those nostalgic, know that most of the actors and actresses from the 2010 feature film will reprise their roles in the Netflix series. Scott Pilgrim Takes Flight is made up of eight episodes, each of which is around 27-28 minutes.
