Nintendo will announce something new about Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom very soon

A new Nintendo-related rumor has suggested that the Japanese game publisher will have some new information to share regarding The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom very soon.

Despite being available in less than two months, Nintendo has still been incredibly quiet when it comes to new details about the next mainline Zelda title. Other than showing off a new gameplay trailer about a month ago, little else has stood out over the past year associated with Tears of the Kingdom. And while it seems likely that this won’t stay true for much longer, a rumor is now claiming that Nintendo could be cooking up a huge data dump in a few days.

Through Nintendo Prime, it has been suggested that Nintendo is planning an announcement or reveal of some sort for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for this Tuesday, March 28. This rumor comes from an anonymous source who allegedly shared these details with Nintendo Prime. As for what Nintendo might choose to announce at this point, there was some speculation that this reveal could be associated with new gameplay footage, merchandising, or anything else tied to Zelda.

However, perhaps the most likely reveal Nintendo could have in store would be related to a new version of the Nintendo Switch. In early 2023, a new Nintendo Switch OLED model containing iconography associated with Tears of the Kingdom leaked online. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for Nintendo to announce this special edition Switch OLED. Although such a reveal hasn’t happened yet, maybe we’ll finally get a look at this new console soon enough.
