Octopath Traveler 2 receives a trailer detailing its mechanics

Octopath Traveler 2 of Square Enix It’s not out yet but it’s been getting positive reviews ahead of its release later this week. This is why publisher Square Enix dropped a new overview trailer, quickly outlining everything new and returning fans need to know.

Being a sequel to the game released in 2018, Octopath Traveler 2 introduces eight new characters with unique stories and Senda actions. Each character has unique abilities that can be used outside of combat such as stealing from NPCs, trading with inhabitants, putting them to sleep, and much more. During battles, each protagonist has a secondary job that provides different abilities in addition to her main job. Learning job skills unlocks support skills that activate automatically in battle. Of course, the gorgeous HD-2D art style from the first game is intact and looks better than ever.
