Phantom Blade Zero from the Chinese studio S-Game and the Hong Kong production company Cruel Man Studio presented one of the surprises during the past PlayStation Showcase, Phantom Blade Zero, an adventure and action game for PlayStation 5 and PC that currently has no known date. After the first look, the team answered some of the questions from the fans.
It is a sequel to the mobile game Phantom Blade: Executioners and It is about the betrayal suffered by the protagonist, Soul. He is hurt and his friends have become enemies. “It’s like watching a prequel to john wick, if there were. In that case you will see a young John Wick with some friends. And then you start with the actual John Wick who has to kill them.”
The study calculates about 30-40 hours for your main storyalthough there will be “tons of optional missions”, a content after the end that includes a mode boss rusha dungeon with roguelite elements and dungeons for multiplayer.
A combat system similar to Ninja Gaiden
all the scenes of gameplay have been captured from the game and “are real”, although some changes were made to the camera to give it a more spectacular look, while in the final version the camera moves away to have a more complete vision. “The combat will be clearer, less impactful than in the trailer or else it could make you too dizzy.”
Players will be able to edit their abilities into two combo chains. “Makes anyone look like a pro at playing *text muted* may cry either Ninja Gaiden“, but also give enough depth to organize the order of skills and other related techniques -evasions, counterattacks, etc-. The map will be semi-open, with multiple paths to explore.: “It’s not the kind of huge open world where you need a horse to get from point A to B. But there are a lot of routes and some open world elements.”
The first concept and story were created in 2017 and development started in early 2022. Although it has been announced on PS5 and PC, there is no exclusive that prevents its release on Xbox Series, clarifies the study.
