Phil Spencer claims that the Xbox Series X is better than the PS5

Leaked Microsoft FTC documents have revealed redacted information suggesting that Xbox boss Phil Spencer felt pretty confident about the Xbox Series X’s chances compared to the PS5.

In an email to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood, Spencer discusses the disadvantage the Xbox One had in terms of price, performance, and messaging compared to the PS4.

However, after the presentation of the PS5, Spencer expressed his pride in the Xbox team, stating that they had a better product than Sony, both in hardware and in the software platform and services.

Although he acknowledges that the presentation of the PS5 was just the beginning of the new generation and that they have not won anything yet, Spencer reiterates that it was a good day for Xbox.
