Fortnite has a large emote collection that expands each season. However, some are so unfair that they are labeled as Pay2Win and even specially adapted by Epic Games. A player has now discovered a new emote that allows you to dodge shots.
What is this emote? This is the Board Flair emote from Chloe Kim’s Icons series. When using the emote, your skin will perform a backflip with the snowboard and then pose with a peace sEsports Extrasto the onlookers.
However, one player posted a clip on reddit of accidentally using the emote in battle. This allowed him not only to secure an Epic Victory, but also to brag about it.
Use cool moves to dodge and win
Reddit user Ryzii_Mode-_- posted his video asking the community if the item shop sells emotes that don’t give you any in-game benefits. We’ve included his cool moves for you here:
The absurdity of this is that the winner of the round didn’t use the emote on purpose. He stumbled upon the choice of gestures in the heat of the moment, picking his life-saving moves from Chloe Kim.
What is the community saying? The players on reddit are going crazy and can’t believe what a blatant stunt Ryzii_Mode-_- has pulled off. They joke about the fight with comments like:
- He then stopped playing the game and went about his homework – Wabi-Sabibitch
- Damn that was so sick and it’s even better since it happened by accident – Huqs
- That was the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen in this game – Quantum_Helix
Have there been other incidents? This emote isn’t the only one you can use to dodge bullets or gain an advantage in combat. Epic had already offered the “Deep Dab” emote for sale in Chapter 1.
Many players use this emote to dodge bullets while also irritating and knocking back the opponent. After this incident, Epic introduced an emote cooldown that no longer allows you to immediately retaliate after a gesture.
But even in Chapter 3 Season 1, many use Spider-Man’s gesture to hover on ceilings to ambush unsuspecting enemies. However, this was not nerfed and is therefore still circulating around.
What do you think of such emotes? Do you think it’s exaggerated that players see them as Pay2Win or don’t you care since you would have won a fight like that? Do you also use emotes like this to distract your opponents? Let us know in the comments!
