PlayStation users accuse Blizzard of copying Kratos in Diablo IV
Kratos is one of the most famous and beloved characters in video games, of course we cannot say that he is number one because that first place belongs to Mario Bros.
Kratos is a fictional character and is the protagonist of Santa Monica Studio’s God of War series, based on Greek mythology and, later, Norse mythology. He first appeared in the 2005 video game God of War, which led to the development of eight additional titles featuring the character as the protagonist and is exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
However, console users have accused Blizzard of copying Kratos in the upcoming Diablo IV title. Blizzard shared a gameplay video for Diablo IV’s “Barbarian” class, it became apparent that the character model used closely resembled Kratos.
In Twitter soon exploded with similar comparisons. One joked: “Mom, mom, I want Kratos in Diablo IV. – We have Kratos at home”, while another added: “Discount that Kratos is in Diablo IV?.
Another user said:When I first saw this image online, I didn’t know it was for Diablo IV. Why does the Barbarian class look like a cheap Kratos?“It’s ironic that God of War’s David Jaffe confirmed on his blog that Kratos was going to be blue but had to be changed due to his similarities to the Barbarian from Diablo II.“.
During the Diablo IV Beta, Reddit user u/The_Fassbender showed off an impressive Barbarian build that used the character’s creator to pay homage to Kratos’ pale skin and red tattoos. As the name suggests, Barbarian is the physically strongest class in the game. Still, some post-Beta tweaks have confirmed that the Barbarian is getting a buff that includes a flat 10% damage reduction that has been “re-evaluated for melee character difficulty.” Leave us your comment.
