This is how you grab the free Pokemon
It’s all about this: As the Pokemon News site serebii.net reports in a tweet or on the website, the event in which you are given the Pokemon starts on August 11th and ends on September 16th. So not all pocket monsters are available at the same time. Instead, they will be added one at a time.

It starts on Thursday with Pikachu, or “World Cap Pikachu” and then continues with Pescragon on Friday. After that, new Pokemon from Ash’s team from the master tournament in the current Pokemon anime follow every week. As Serebii reports, all pocket monsters you can get are already level 80.
Here are all the Pokemon and the dates when you can snag them:
- Pikachu: Only distributed in Japan at a cinema event.
- pescragon: GANJ0UAG0882 (redeemable until August 25)
- dragonite: UM1N0KESH1N (redeemable until September 8th)
- Gengar: GENNGER0GE94 (redeemable until September 15)
- Leek Zealot: H1SSATSUNEG1 (redeemable until September 22nd)
- Lucario: 16th September
This is how you redeem the codes: Start the game, load your save and press the X button to open the menu. Then select the Mystery Gift feature and connect to the internet. Then enter the above code for the desired Pokemon. You already get the monster and only have to save your game status to be on the safe side.
What about the Pikachu? The promotion is only designed for Japan, but all Pokemon distributed via code can also be redeemed in the rest of the world. The code for the Pikachu was only distributed to viewers as part of a cinema event. Therefore, you will probably have to do without the Mouse Pokemon.
