In February 2023, subscribers to PS Plus Essential will again receive free games. This time, however, it takes a little longer for the new titles to be announced, as the unveiling will no longer take place at the end of January.

Sony usually has a fixed time when the new bonus games are announced. If the date remains the same this month, this results in the following dates for the announcement and activation:

*Where does this date come from? The new PS Plus Essential games are usually unlocked on the first Tuesday of the month. The announcement will be made on Wednesday before. For this reason, the announcement will not be made until February 1, 2023 this time, as it falls on a Wednesday.

**5:30pm is Sony’s usual game reveal time. They are then usually available around 12 noon German time.

Are there already leaks for the essential games in February 2023?

No, there are currently no leaks on the possible PS Plus Essential lineup in February 2023. But chances are that we’ll find out which titles are included this time before the official announcement. At least that was always the case in the past.
