EXTRAS
PS Plus will soon be free for everyone, but…
Sony announces excellent news perfect for the end of the year and opens the doors of its PS Plus to all players.
PlayStation gives you an early Christmas present and lets you enjoy its PlayStation Plus for a weekend on PS5 and PS4, but access will be restricted.
PS Plus for all the time of a weekend
From this Saturday, December 10 until Sunday evening, December 11, any PlayStation player will be able to embark on competitive multiplayer games or enjoy co-op titles with their friends. To take advantage of the offer you have absolutely nothing to do except have a valid PSN account and connect to the internet of course.
Only a few hours from the Game Awards, Sony is therefore doing a little promotion for its new PlayStation Plus subscription.
You are indeed aware that the PS Plus formula has changed for a few months, now divided into 3 distinct options, Essential, Extra and Premium, the PlayStation Plus offers many new features including access to a large catalog of PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2 and even PS1 games in its most premium subscriptions.
Although you won’t be able to access all the catalogs during this free weekend, you will have the door open to all the online experiences, such as the big PvP DLC of Elden Ring, the multiplayer of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or the competitive aspect of Need for Speed Unbound.
However, after this free weekend, although your progress will be saved, you will need to subscribe to one of the subscriptions to be able to continue playing online.
Moreover, the PlayStation Plus also allows you to get your hands on 2 to 3 games “offered” to subscribers each month. For this month of December, these are for example the excellent compilation Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the action RPG Biomutant and the indie game Divine Knockout who join the catalog.
