Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
You can get the action-adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider cheaper in the Definitive Edition, which includes all seven DLC challenge tombs as well as all additional outfits, weapons and abilities. While the predecessor kidnapped us into Siberian snowy landscapes, this time we spend most of the time in the jungle. It doesn’t get any friendlier here, in fact Shadow of the Tomb Raider is even the darkest part of the reboot trilogy. This is partly due to the creepy undead we deal with here, but also partly because of the inner demons that Lara has to contend with. In terms of play, sneaking, puzzles and climbing are more important again, but there are still shootouts.

Far Cry 5
Far Cry 5 is the right place for anyone who wants to shoot their way through a large open-world playground. In a lonely area in the US state of Montana, we take on a charismatic cult leader and his siblings. The scenery is very nicely staged. In addition, Montana has a rich wildlife that likes to cause chaos with surprise attacks. Otherwise there is the typical Far Cry gameplay: We have a large selection of weapons. Vehicles and even aircraft to choose from to complete our missions and capture enemy bases. This creates freedom for playful experiments.

You can get Terminator: Resistance in either the standard PS4 version or the technically enhanced one Enhanced Edition for PS5 get cheaper. The first-person shooter got rather moderate ratings from professional critics, but it was well received by the fans and thus developed into a small surprise hit. That’s certainly partly because mankind’s fight against the machines was realized with a lot of love for the original. But the fact that Terminator: Resistance copied a lot of gameplay from other post-apocalyptic games like Fallout may have contributed to its success.

Humanity is threatened by a new ice age. As the leader of a group of survivors, you must build a city with them and decide how to use the scarce resources you can muster in the area. You can appear as a friendly ruler or as a ruthless tyrant. Being nice doesn’t always pay off. For example, if you feed useless members of your party, everyone could end up starving.

In Darksiders 3 we once again take on the role of an apocalyptic horseman. After War and Death, it’s Fury’s turn this time. With a whip and a few other weapons, she goes on the hunt for the seven personified deadly sins and their henchmen, who have nested in the ruins of human civilization. The gameplay has changed significantly: where climbing, puzzles and exploration were central elements in the past, Darksiders 3 is now much more oriented towards Dark Souls and focuses on demanding close combat. The nested level desEsports Extrasand the progression system also seem to be strongly inspired by the Souls games, but the level of difficulty is not as high as in the original.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
Tomb Raider again: You can get the second part of the reboot trilogy called Rise of the Tomb Raider for €5.99, in the edition for the twenty-year anniversary of the series, which includes all DLC content, the “Blood Ties” expansion including VR support and also includes technical improvements such as 4K resolution. With a discount of 90 percent and a price of just €2.84, Soma is one of the cheapest bargains in the current PS Store sale. In the horror game from Frictional Games, the studio behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent, we’ll once again have to flee from overpowering enemies that we can’t defend ourselves against. This time, however, the exploration of our surroundings and the complex story with a lot of philosophical depth play a greater role than the shock elements. We wake up in an abandoned research base deep on the ocean floor and have to figure out how we got here.

Strange Brigade Deluxe Edition
With the Deluxe Edition of Strange Brigade, which includes the main game as well as the Season Pass, you get a 95 percent discount and only pay €3.99. Strange Brigade is a primarily co-op shooter in the style of a Left 4 Dead, but you can also play it alone. The highlight of the game is the scenario: in Egypt we shoot our way through mummies and all sorts of other mythological creatures while being told a story in the style of a trashy adventure series from the 1940s. We also have to beware of creative traps in the Indiana Jones style, and in between there are also a few puzzles to be solved.

Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom
With Ni no Kuni 2 you get an epic fantasy role-playing game for less than 10€, whose anime look may seem cute, but which nevertheless tells a serious story about war and lust for power. In the JRPG we don’t just explore the game world as usual and beat up monsters. We play a real king, who of course also has to take care of his kingdom, levy troops and fight battles. One should not imagine this part of the strategy to be overly complex. But he still helps us to slip into the role of the ruler and get the feeling that our actions have a say in the fate of the game world.

Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition
Mortal Shell is an action RPG that is not only based on Dark Souls in terms of its dark art design, but also in terms of its demanding, close-combat gameplay. But it also has new ideas that lead to a completely unique gaming experience. We play a creature that is usually very fragile, but can slip into the corpses of fallen warriors and take over their abilities. This allows you to try different playstyles in a single playthrough without having to start over. The new Enhanced Edition brings technical improvements such as 4K resolution at up to 60 fps and particularly detailed textures, especially for the PS5.
