PSU 80 PLUS GOLD that passes PCIe 5.0
Antech announced the launch of its new power supplies NeoEco Gold Modular. As its name already suggests, we are facing a new family of power supplies with energy efficiency 80 PLUS Goldin addition to presenting a desEsports Extrasfully modular. This, in addition to allowing the use of the right and necessary cable, also favors the air flow due to avoiding cable knots within the system.
Perhaps most interesting of all, is that we are starting 2023 and it is a power supply that does not make use of the PCIe 5.0 connector. That is, of the new connector of 16 pin used by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series. In this way, if you want to combine it with one of these GPUs, it will be necessary to use the well-known adapter three 8-pin PCIe connectors to one of 16.
Antec NeoEco Gold Modular Power Supply Specifications
Available in capacities of 650, 750 and 850W of powerall of them use an energy certificate 80 PLUS Gold. This implies an energy efficiency of up to 92%. All have an Active PFC, or the use of 100% Japanese capacitors for greater stability. They all share a 120mm PWM fan for its refrigeration. This fan is attached to a button that activates the Zero RPM modei.e. force the PSU to work passively. As long as the load or the temperature is low to work without emitting any type of noise, of course.
We continue with a server-class Half-Bridge LLC desEsports Extraswith synchronous rectification based on a DC-DC topology to improve performance and stability. As expected, they also have all market protections (OCP/OVP/UVP/SCP/OPP/OTP/SIP/NLO). For the rest, the most basic Antec NeoEco Gold Modular, with 650W of power, offers 4x 6+2-pin PCIe connectors. On the other hand, the most advanced model, with 850W of power, offers 6x of these connectors. In this way, they offer enough to power any current GPU on the market.
Rest of the information and starting price
The information of these power supplies is completed with a single +12v line. It is capable of supplying up to 54A in the 650W model. The 750W one increases it up to 62Awhile the 850W one stays in the 70A. All cabling is in a flat design, and thanks to its industrial “shield” for the circuitry, the company offers up to 7 years warranty for these power supplies.
“CircuitShield’s desEsports Extrasallows for industrial-grade protection so the system is safe in any environment.”
Finally, we know that the Antec NeoEco Gold Modular go on sale at a starting price of 109 euros. That is, this is the price for the 650W power model. The rest of the prices were not announced, although they could be around 120 and 130 euros respectively. To this is added that the 850W version receive a variant in white color. The 750 and 650W power models do not have this variant.
