R-Type Final 3 Evolved for PS5 presents its first trailer

Granzella has presented the first trailer of R-Type Final 3 Evolvedthe shoot ’em up for PlayStation 5 that will be available on March 23 in Japan, and in the spring -without a more specific date- in the rest of the world. The company also announced late last year the collection R-Type Tactics I – II Cosmos.

R-Type Final 3 Evolved it’s based on R-Type Finale 2 Y improves graphics, adds more than 100 playable ships, seven new scenariossupport for PS VR2 virtual reality in takeoff scenes, “metaverses” or rooms for online multiplayer and minigames.

Players will enjoy a performance-based difficulty system, and ships will be customizable. “Experience classic ‘Force’ mechanics from R-Type along with a nostalgic and addictive gameplay loop”, says the developer. We will be able to explore familiar new settings, enemies that evolve and try to break global highscore records. “R-Type Final 3 Evolved joins R-Type Finale 2 and PlayStation 5 with seven exclusive scenarios created by Kazuma Kujo himself, all part of the first content of the Stage Passin addition to new ships and multiplayer mode for up to six players, completely redone in Unreal Engine 5.

Compatible with PS VR2

In addition to the new graphics, content and other innovations, it will include support for PS VR2 virtual reality in takeoff scenes, “metaverses” or rooms for online multiplayer and minigames. This first trailer includes a brief look at that VR sequence.

Granzella Inc. is a Japanese developer founded in 2011 by former Irem members which has obtained some classic licenses from the company, including Disaster Reportwhich they rescued from their cancellation with Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memoriesreleased in 2020.
