Arkane Studios is a firm recognized for offering games that stand out for what systemic of its worlds (whether large stages or closed levels) and the large number of options to deal with situations. redfallby Arkane Austin (Dishonored, Prey), it’s a game of open world first person shooter with co-op and with four heroes and heroines with different abilities.
The description may suggest that the Bethesda studio has totally deviated from the previously established route, but the main people responsible for the title have made it clear that this will not be the case. Yes, be “more than action,” in the words of Harvey Smithdirector of Arkane Austin, but keep all the elements which are the identity of the active studio that is a benchmark in immersive simulators.
“What I would say is that all of our games overlap tremendously,” Smith responded when asked in a Microsoft Teams interview about how much immersive simulator is there in redfall. “Have narrative richness, all mechanics are intertwined with history and the narrative, there is environmental narrative… And [en todos] there’s a very immersive body movement: sliding, climbing, all of that.”
“And the mechanics work in a way where they can even surprise us when people do things that make for great impromptu moments. Much of that comes from our approach to level design: give you multiple entrances to places, multiple ways to solve problems.” “That’s true in all of our games, and it’s true in redfall“says the creative director of all Dishonored.
Ricardo Bare, creative director of this title, notes: “Each of our games is different from the others, but they have common creative values.” Who leads the title baton ensures that we will find “so many of the functions [tpicas] of Arkane” as they may have, “in addition to the cooperative and the open world”.
“I’d like to say that if you’re an Arkane fan, and what you’re interested in is a deep world building, a first person perspective, light RPG mechanicsstealth mechanics… All those things are in the game and you’re going to be happy [con el resultado]”, concludes the creative director.
