Redfall disaster casts doubt on Starfield

redfall disaster casts doubt on starfield

If the AAA releases of 2023 have anything in common as of this writing, it’s the poor performance on release on most of them. Recent examples are Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy, which have drawn a lot of criticism from gamers for the PC versions, and more recently Redfall, which barely reaches 30 FPS when playing on an Xbox Series X in open world sections.

Redfall’s problems go beyond performance, but its rocky launch has more than one player worried about Starfield. The future big release of Bethesda and Xboxwhich has suffered multiple delays, will (hopefully) see the light of day in September, but the disappointment of Redfall has understandably made many wary of what happens when the title comes out.

It might be buggy, as many Bethesda games are at launch, but mostly people expect it to at least perform well performance-wise, even if the occasional NPC gets stuck on a wall.

Do you think Starfield will live up to the hype?
