One month after Lee Sang-hyeok’s public complaints”faker» and T1 vs. League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK), the competition has once again made decisions that have generated controversy among fans. However, this time it has been in full playoffs. During the quarterfinals between DWG KIA and KT Rolster Kim Ha-ram «aiming«, KT shooter, experienced a bug which generated a pause of 40 minutes. After all the time stopped, the referees of the competition decided to continue with the confrontation despite the complaints of the team.
During the second game of the series, Aiming bought a Stopwatch which he regretted, so he undid his purchase. However, this gesture caused him to lose the Ornn upgrade he had on his Immortal Archshield. Once the KT Rolster players became aware, the team requested a pass to speak to LCK refereeing about the error. After 40 minutes, the league decided that the best option was to continue the game, but the controversy came with a statement published by KT.
A statement from @KTRolster_tw:
“We would like to say a statement for the pause in game two of KT vs DK, #LCK playoffs.
The pause was requested when Aiming purchased then refunded Stopwatch, which caused the Ornn upgrade for Immortal Shieldbow to be reverted …” pic.twitter.com/dal1mywu7j

KT Rolster spoke about the situation through his social networks and explained the bug for which the team called for a break. However, it was competition posture which generated discussion in the League of Legends community: «The LCK resumed the match stating that because the bug not previously notified, the given situation cannot be recognized as a bug«. A part of the spectators did not understand the responsibility attributed to the players.
However, that was not the last bug What happened during the series? In the fourth game of the matchup, Aiming himself was able to use his Flash when under the effects of Charm (E) from Ahri. LCK commentator Wolf Schröder explained that thanks to this the marksman was able to dodge the champion’s Eternal Frost and put himself out of range of the enemy Vi’s ult. According to Erik Wessen «Treatz«, SK Gaming support, in the comments of the reporter Ashley Kang, this error has persisted throughout the summer in leagues such as the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). Unlike KT Rolster, DWG KIA did not call for a break.
Despite the controversy generated by the management of the LCK with the bugsthe confrontation between DWG KIA and KT Rolster was intense. Both teams lost the games where they had these errors against them. However, the series reached the fifth map and finally DK prevailed to reach the semifinals of the championship. The next step of the team led by Heo Su «ShowMaker» is the match against T1, which will be the following Sunday at 10:00.
This bug has existed the entire season and has even happened in LEC multiple times unfortunately, here is an example of Aggressive flashing mid-charm
