Games in Hardcore mode are becoming more and more popular in the world of video games. Nothing is more chilling than the thought of losing tens (if not hundreds) of hours of progress because your character has met an untimely and definitive end.
In Remnant II hardcore mode you can meet death in many ways, but many players point out a ledge as the true killer of permadeath games. This is a side path in the Maze that forces you to take an awkward jump, often ending with a player missing their landing and falling to its doom.
As Reddit user MediocrePollution878 has pointed out, it can be incredibly anticlimactic for a run to end like this, but that hasn’t stopped players from continuing to run the optional path. Hopefully these jumps can be improved over time, so players don’t feel like they’ve ruined their toughest run over clunky movement mechanics.
