Resident Evil 4 is receiving review bombing on Metacritic
Resident Evil 4 Remake it was recently released and has received great scores, as you would expect for such a beloved title. However, the new version of the fourth installment of the zombie series of Capcom, is being bombarded with negative reviews by disgruntled players.
The Resident Evil 4 remake, aside from the reviews, has already established itself as one of the strong contenders for Game of the Year in 2023. However, some users seem to be unhappy with what they received and have been giving a score. Mediocre for various reasons.
As reported by Game Rant, while critic scores on Metacritic currently top 90 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, user scores tell a much different story. Starting from high to low, the Resident Evil 4 remake has a rather disappointing score of 7.1 on PS5. But it gets worse, as it got 5.5 on PC and 5.2 on Xbox Series X|S. Lastly, PS4 users have rated it a low 4.6.
One particular user who gave it a 0 said: “Bad game, like an old gen game. I wasted my time and my money. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even close to the original. Capcom is backing down. Copy and paste game.
