Resident Evil 4: The Remake probably also introduces new weapons, that could be them

In Resident Evil 4, almost everyone traditionally wants to get at us, but luckily we can defend ourselves.

The Resident Evil 4 remake not only brings back the good old days. The remake also modernizes the gameplay and all the rest of the original. With some additions: For example, we will probably also get one or the other new shooting club to light up the undead hordes, cultists and infected people.

Leon wields a new weapon that the original didn’t have in the Resident Evil 4 trailer

That’s what it’s about: Resident Evil 4 was once again much more action-heavy than its predecessors. Among other things, this was due to the then new third-person perspective from behind the protagonists, but also to the gameplay and the arsenal.

Did you look closely? There are several moments here that seem to indicate that we’ll be getting more or different weapons in the reboot. The following seems to be freshly added, which was not present in the original.

  • MP5: Leon seems to be using an MP5 submachine gun here. There was, for example, in Resident Evil 2, but actually not in the old Resident Evil 4. But don’t worry: it looks like the other and originally only MP will remain in the form of the TMP (via: GameRant) .
  • bolt launcher: The Bolt Thrower may also have been visible for a very brief moment. The HUD also seems to indicate that we can even launch mines with the weapon. The bolt launcher may then replace the mine launcher from the original (via: Comicbook).

We’ll have to wait and see how and when we get these new weapons (and whether they’re actually in the game on the first run or at all). But luckily not for long: The Resident Evil 4 remake is scheduled for release on March 24, 2023. But before that, there is also a demo version of RE4 that can be played free of charge.
