Blackview announced the launch of a new smartphone ruggedizedthe BV7100. Like many of the manufacturer’s other devices, it boasts great resistance to the elements, to everyday life, and all this while boasting great autonomy.
Like any self-respecting rugged smartphone, we come across a chassis equipped with the certifications IP68, IP69K and military certification MIL-STD-810H. All this translates into the ability to withstand extreme temperatureswater resistance up to 1.5 meters deep, or the resistance to shocks or falls of up to 1.8 meters high, all with rubberized corners to reduce any possible damage.
Blackview BV7100: great balance between performance, resistance and autonomy
Let’s go to what matters, the specifications, and that is that this device is built around an IPS panel of 6.58 inches at a Full HD+ resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels capable of reaching a brightness of 480 nits and powered by a SoC MediaTek Helio G85. This SoC offers a configuration of 2x Cortex-A75 @ 2.00 GHz cores together with 6x Cortex-A55 @ 1.80 GHz. Additionally, we have a GPU Arm Mali-G52 @ 1.00GHz with MediaTek HyperEngine technology to improve performance. All this is cooled by a graphene sheet of 13,685 mm2 that promises to reduce the temperature of the SoC at 5ºC.
Attached to the SoC, we have 6 GB of RAM LPDDR4X next to 128GB of storage internal eMMC 5.1 expandable via microSD card up to 1TB capacity. This hardware translates into an AnTuTu performance of 255,236 points.
All this is powered by a battery of no less than 13,000mAh capacitywhich gives up to 5 days of autonomy with normal use. The battery is backed by fast charging technology 33W (from 0 to 51% in 66 minutes), and can be used like power banks to charge any other device by cable.
Camera, software, other features, availability and price
Regarding the photographic section, we have a main sensor SonyIMX362 of 12 megapixels with a 6P lens, a ultra wide angle with macro 8MP and depth sensing 2MP. The camera is capable of capturing 2K @ 30 FPS video, has Night and Underwater Mode, autofocus in 0.03 seconds, and a Samsung S5K4H7 8 MP selfie camera with portrait mode and beauty AI.
As for the software, it makes use of the operating system Doke OS 3.0which is based on android 12. Is “mask” allows you to easily customize the appearance of the device, have quick access to the privacy permissions of the applications, promises a better fluidity, and of course, “expand RAM“in up Additional 4GB. Obviously, storage space is taken here to use as RAM, something of no useand more with low-performance storage.
Finishing with the specifications, we have a fingerprint reader on the side to improve safety, a dedicated programmable button to access a function quickly, we have NFCaccess to GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo satellites, connectivity 4G-LTE + WiFi 802.11ac, you can install two SIM cards next to the storage one, and has dimensions of 174 x 81.4 x 18.9mm thick with a weight of 460 grams. Yes, light it is not that it is, like any terminal of its kind.
