It seems that Sony Santa Monica might already be working on a new game in the God of War series. In a new job posting in which the studio is looking for a combat designer, fans have found some clues that could point to the studio preparing for a return to the franchise.

Although there is no specific statement that the future combat designer will be working on a new God of War, it does mention that the candidate must have “Knowledge of God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarök (2022)”. In addition, he will work on a new unannounced title.

The expectations of God of War fans are already through the roof, as it seems that the franchise is not quite over yet. Kratos’ story seemed to have come to an end in God of War: Ragnarök, but the franchise can still move forward in many directions, especially through Atreus. It seems that, at least in terms of combat, we will be looking at something similar to the last two games, as this would explain why the candidates need experience in them.
