Netherrealm Studios may have outpaced Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 in terms of marketing, but they’re definitely trying to catch up. Mortal Kombat 1 keeps showing up at video game events, and I’m not complaining at all.
Last night’s Gamescom trailer confirms that Sindel and General Shao Khan will return as playable characters in Mortal Kombat 1, while Motaro and Shujinko will have to make do with being Kameo fighters.
We’re also shown a bit of Raiden, and it’s pretty clear that all five characters still know how to deal damage to anyone in their path. Also: how the hell does Sindel keep her hair so clean after doing that Fatality? We may know the secret of him when Mortal Kombat 1 goes on sale on September 19.
