Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Rain and Frost confirmed for Mortal Kombat 1

Nether Realm Studios has released a new trailer as part of the Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat 1. The video shows one of everyone’s favorite assassin factions: the Lin Kuei. It opens with Scorpion and Sub-Zero, with the latter pondering whether they should lead the world instead of representing it. Before long, Smoke joins the two in battle.

New Kameo fighters like Cyrax, Sektor, and Frost also make their debut. Cyrax displays his iconic chest saw ability while Sektor fires homing missiles. Frost unfurls ice spikes and kicks them into an enemy’s chest.

Rain is also revealed to be a playable fighter, using a staff to manipulate water, picking up opponents and dropping them through portals of water.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders get access to a beta version in August, while Premium and Kollector’s Edition owners get early access on September 15. You can watch the trailer below.
