Nintendo has the winning team of the Splatoon 3 World Premiere Splatfest, which took place over the weekend. Team Stein secured first place with 25 points, followed by Team Paper with ten points and Team Schere with zero points.

However, not everything went as smoothly as Nintendo would have liked at the world premiere. Again and again there were problems with matchmaking and disconnections. On the Japanese Twitter account of splatoonNintendo therefore vowed to improve.

This is to improve matchmaking. On the other hand, Nintendo is planning an update for the three-color battles, as many players felt that the four-man team in the defending role was too difficult.

Splatoon 3 will be released on September 9th. If you didn’t find time over the weekend to get an impression of the game for yourself, you are welcome to listen to our current podcast episode, in which we provide first impressions of the game.
