Splatoon 3: Splatfest World Premiere Demo Now Available

Yesterday we published our impressions and gameplay of Splatoon 3and you can already have the first contact with the game thanks to the free demo now available to download in the eShop, the digital store of Nintendo Switch.

This demo will allow us to join the event Splatoon 3: Splatfest World Premiere East Saturday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. (USApeninsular time), in which the players will participate in the new tricolor combat.

But before Saturday we can download the demo and customize the avatar and complete the tutorial of the game. After that, you can also give you a tour of the new city of Tintelia and prepare for the festival on Saturday. By downloading the Splatfest World Premiere demo players will also receive an email code for a 7-day free trial of Nintendo Switch Online.

This is how the Splatfest World Premiere will work

Splatfest teams will be chosen by answering this question: “Which is better? Rock, paper or scissors?”. Next, the teams will meet in Territorial Battles and each victory award points to each of the three teams. In this fast-paced mode, teams of four players face off against each other with the goal of painting as much terrain as they can in a 3-minute time limit.

The main event starts on August 27 between 10:00 and 16:00 (peninsular time). In this first slot, the teams will face each other, but only against one of them at a time. After, between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the new Splatfest tricolor matches will be enabled in which the leading team of the first strip will have to defend its leadership against two players from the other two teams. This 4-v-2-v-2 format brings a new kind of colorful mayhem to Splatfest. Upon completion, the results will be calculated and revealed on Sunday, August 28 at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Splatoon 3 will go on sale exclusively for Nintendo Switch on September 9.
