GSC Game World has released a new gameplay trailer for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, currently playable at the Xbox booth on the show floor of Gamescom. It shows various things, from strange anomalies in the Exclusion Zone to some of the enemies.

Enemies range from hostile humans and feral hounds to four-legged mutants. Also mutants can cloak themselves, so you have to carefully discern their location. Some anomalies can tear it apart: throwing metal items, like bolts, to unleash seemingly innocuous bubbles.

Not everyone in the Zone is an enemy: some can provide bits and bobs, while others could provide shelter when a broadcast is coming your way. There are over 30 types of weapons to choose from, and as the trailer shows, you can attach different scopes, suppressors, etc.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl it will launch in the first half of 2024, as confirmed in the recent developer fact sheet. It will be released for Xbox Series X / S and PC, and Game Pass.
