Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could form the second part of a trilogy that started with Jedi: Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in a few weeks and developer studio Respawn is working on the final touches. At the same time, the people behind the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order are of course already thinking about how it could continue after that. The rough plan revolves around completing a trilogy.
Jedi: Survivor isn’t the last in the series when it comes to Director
After Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is no longer released in March, the release date is April 28th. The team is currently working flat out to put the finishing touches to the game. The content is already complete.

Maybe it will be a trilogy: In an interview with IGN, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor director Stig Asmussen discusses the development team’s ideas for the future. Ideally, there will be a third part that completes the series and trilogy:
“I always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and the crew to new places beyond what we did in the first game?”
There was already a rough plan in advance of when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would play, what was at stake and what the tone of the sequel would be. The ideas would have already existed for Cal’s opponents and the crew.
“And there are already ideas about what we could do beyond that.”
Then in Unreal Engine 5? Chances are that this theoretical third part and conclusion of the Star Wars Jedi trilogy would then be developed in the Unreal Engine 5. At least it is very likely that there will be a switch from Unreal Engine 4 to the successor graphics framework.
But don’t rejoice too soon: So far, of course, all this is just a dream of the future. Whether a third part will actually appear is still in the stars. It should also largely depend on how successful Star Wars Jedi: Survivor becomes and how well it sells.
Do you already want a third part, are you looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
