Update from June 23, 2022: With a little trick, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords can be played through despite a bug on the switch.
At the same time, developer Aspyr emphasizes that only a “small number” of players are affected by the problem.
However, the developers recommend using the roleplaying game’s cheats menu to bypass the problematic spot until the next patch fixes the problem.
“Our workaround is to bypass the point where the game crashes using the cheats menu. To do this, triple click the left stick, open the cheat menu, select warp and jump to OND504. Make sure you don’t go to the Merchant Quarter or the game will crash.”
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 is currently unplayable on the Switch
Currently, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords does not appear to be playable on the Nintendo Switch.
At a certain point in the gameplay the game crashes and you have no chance to avoid it.
Developer Aspyr writes: “Yes, we are aware of this and our development team is working to deliver the patch as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in the meantime!”
