Starfield has gone Gold and presents the pre-download dates
Starfield has gone Gold, as reported Bethesda Game Studios via Twitter. It means that the development of the principle is complete and it will be sent for record manufacturing. Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty says he has the fewest bugs of any Bethesda game so far, but you can bet there’ll be a day one patch.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long for pre-downloads, which start this August 17, for Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Windows Store. Steam players can start pre-loading on August 30. Although its exact size on console hasn’t been confirmed, the sci-fi RPG will require 125GB of installation space on PC.
The fact that the game has reached the Gold milestone means that there will be no further delays. In addition, it is the All or Nothing game for Microsoft with its bet on the purchase of Bethesda as developer and owner of exclusivity.
Starfield launches on September 6 and is playable on day one for Game Pass. Those who own the Premium Edition can start playing on September 1.
