Stranger Things villain wants to play Scarecrow in Batman

There’s no word on who the villain will be in The Batman sequel, with some hoping to see Barry Keoghan’s Joker wreak havoc, while others hoping to see lesser-known baddies take center stage as Batman’s foe.

One person who definitely knows how to play a scary villain is Jamie Campbell Bowerbest known for his role as the supervillain Vecna from Stranger Things. During Comfest 2023, the Geek House Show asked Bower if there are any roles in DC or Marvel that he would be interested in, and it turns out that he is:

“There’s been a lot of talk lately about Scarecrow, that would be cool. To do that, that would be fun.”

Currently, there are two lines of exploitation of Batman in theaters. One in the movies dedicated to Batman and another as a member of the New DC Universe, so it will take several villains to hunt down. We don’t have much trouble imagining Bower as an excellent Scarecrow, and we think he’d be a great fit for Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman sequel, which is set to be released in end of 2025.
