Street Fighter 6 receives Denuvo, just days before its launch

The Street Fighter 6 Steam page now shows Denuvo anti-tamper, apparently added to the list by Capcom just two days before SF6’s release.

Denuvo Anti-Tamper, used to prevent third parties from accessing a game’s source code with the possible intent of hacking or hacking it, has been included in several Capcom PC games, such as Resident Evil 4 and Monster Hunter Rise.

Although the Street Fighter 6 Steam page now lists the game as using “3rd Party DRM (Denuvo Anti-Tamper)”, an archived version of the site from just a day earlier did not show Denuvo for Street Fighter 6, suggesting that Capcom added it to the page between May 30 and 31, just two days before the release of Street Fighter 6.

On the Steam DB, it shows a change to the Street Fighter 6 Steam listing on May 30, which says “3rd party Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM added”.

In the same way, it is possible that later, after the launch, it will be removed, as has already happened with other Capcom games, although being a game that uses online a lot for its gameplay, it is unlikely that it will be soon.
