Tails Voice Actress Talks About Being The Only Video Game Voice Actor In Sonic 2: The Movie

Colleen O’Shaughnessey is the only voice actress for Sonic 2: The Movie who also appeared in the video games and animated series voicing the character of Tails.

Sonic 2: The Movie born as a response to the success of the first sonic live action tape. To live up to the previous feature film, this time the team returns with renewed strength and adds many iconic characters from video games to the squad, such as Miles “Tails” Prower and Knuckles the Echidna.

In the film, Sonic’s best friend has been voiced again by Colleen O’Shaughnesseya voice actress who has been accompanying Tails for a long time, giving him her voice in video games and in various animated series since 2014.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Colleen O’Shaughnessey spoke about the enormous responsibility that making the leap to the big screen was for her, and also shared all the support she has received from other voice actors.

“It is very exciting and unusual. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I had no hope that I would get to do this movie. It just doesn’t happen often. I feel very lucky; it’s amazing”, assured Colleen O’Shaughnessey.
