Tetris the Movie reveals its first trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming movie Tetris it has already been revealed. It’s a time when we’re seeing big hits like The Last of Us from HBO, Sonic The Hedgehog 1 & 2, The Witcher from Netflix, etc. Although there are a number of upcoming game-tied projects that will look to directly adapt the source material, Tetris it goes in a very different direction.

Instead of having a bunch of anthropomorphic blocks, Tetris tells the story of how one of the biggest video games in the world came to be. Taron Egerton (Kingsman 1 & 2) stars in the film as Henk Rogers, who is a businessman who ends up discovering Tetris and seeks to make the game a worldwide success. However, because Tetris was created by Russian developer Alexey Pajitnov, Rogers has to learn how to find a way to come to terms with the Soviet Union during a tumultuous period in world history. The result leads Rogers to find himself in a situation that is far more complex and far more dangerous than he could have anticipated.

Although the first trailer for Tetris has just been unveiled now, the movie itself is coming very soon. Tetris it will launch next month on March 31 and will be available to watch exclusively via Apple TV+. You can watch the trailer below.
