The Backrooms invade Fallout with a claustrophobic mod that seeks to expand the lore of this crazy urban legend

It is very likely that you may not know what The Backrooms are. We are talking about a new kind of creepypastayou know, those urban legends that make a name and an imaginary thanks to the power of the network that has entered with force in forums Y social networks since last 2020.

Some of us stay in those horror stories of slender-man or Jeff The Killer, but this is a very strong phenomenon that has now been absorbed by an AAA game: Fallout: New Vegas. Although this phenomenon has had its ups and downs with very simple games, now these creepypastas come to Bethesda’s RPG with one of the simplest mods, but claustrophobicthat we have seen.

This mod, created by user AgentFuse, adds a series of spooky mazes and senseless to the game. And you will say, what is so special about that? The truth is that this is the basis of Las Backrooms. For those of you who don’t know, we are talking about a hidden door in our reality that gives way to labyrinthine nightmare worlds and without any logic in its development or construction.

This horror scene is quite simple, but with enormous potential. These hidden areas are plagued by monsters, each one more disturbing than the last and some unique depending on the backroom you are in, so now is the time for the rest of the gaming community to make their inventions as part of this mod. In fact, this mod has been built for that, to let other mod creators’ imaginations run wild with crazy additions, extravagant and that, in some way, increase the lore of The Backrooms.

It is not the first time that the video game is used to expand the history of a phenomenon of urban legend from Internet. The aforementioned Slender-Man, the “father” of many of these horror stories as of 2009, carved out a significant niche for himself in popular culture with up to 3 video games which even led to a later movie.
